  1. I those draws are really cool but, if first draw is on India then driver seat lies in right hand sight as England!

  2. Wow some of these are racist as hell. Cannibals in Africa? I mean, really.

  3. Wow, racism never looked so good.

No, wait, these also look like shit.

  4. who is this artist? Great colors and design aspects.

  5. Wow – I love how the American one is by far the most boring and the only one with a tubby bastard in it. That’s hot.

  6. So full of lame cliches

  7. A bit stereotypical. aren’t these? I would avoid this as an artist.

  8. Great post, but I noticed that the artist is not referenced here. *tsk, tsk*
The artist is Andrey Gordeev – Those who like this post should check out his other work. He’s one of my favorite artsits!

  9. Maybe he’s trying to say something about stereotypes… who knows. These stereotypes show up in all sorts of things, art or not art and is it really that offensive? I mean, I’m American and the boring, fat french-fry guy didn’t offend me, should it? I think the POINT is that they are cliche. You have to look at each one to see what stereotypes are represented and it makes you think about how many cliche’s and stereotypes there really are in every culture. I just don’t think these are racist at all. Of course, the stereotypes the paintings represent are.

  10. The Japanese one is awesome. and those of you who think they are racist, well you missed the point.

  11. These stereotypes aren’t racist, but simply deadly uninteresting!
There is nothing new, only the most expeted clichés.
Neither a real search about the subject, nor a desire to do something never one did before!

    That’s poor and free!

  12. Somewhat sad how everyone immediately starts harping on about racism and stereotyping the moment anyone does anything connected to the specifics of a culture. Cultures have specifics, as well as specifics in other people’s minds – there’s no getting away from that. It all comes together to create an identity. And these strike me as gentle, affectionate and very well-executed explorations of that. Hardly offensive to anyone who hasn’t been totally twisted. I mean look at London (where i am from) – a miserable gray world of rain, tea and football! Of COURSE London or England isn’t all like that, but only an idiot would take this literally and start getting snooty about it. In a way it does capture something inherently British or perceived-British with an admirable simplicity and effect. And why not?! I wouldn’t mind having that on the wall of my London apartment, just to make me smile sometimes and even remind me why i love the place. I think these are great.

Thanks Melinda for the artist’s name. I will check him out some more!

  13. Racist? Lol, it’s not racist. Stereotypical, of course. Why wouldn’t it be? It’s meant for the countries to be easily recognizable.

  14. This is great! I love the shapes and colors, and the environments are very cool.

  15. These are really great, thanks for posting

  16. Did anyone else notice in the middle eastern one the guy with the machine gun strapped to his back lmao

  17. One about Brazil would be fun, let me know if you do it.

  18. I like how the Japanese guy is shooing the ninja away with a broom. :3

  19. This is ridiculously funny ! :) ) HAHAHA

Some of you might find it racist , but its not ! It’s fun !

I really liked all of paintings. There should have been a Russian driver with the bottle of Vodka and something about communism :) ))

Did you guys notice how many wives the arabic dude has ? HAHAH.

I actually didn’t like the Mexican one…. too boring and I’m sure that not all Mexicans try to go to the USA :)

See how the french has a barrel and some wine bottles in his glove compartment ;)

  20. Excellent read definitely worth the time

  21. Overall, these were great, I loved the small touches like the Ninja being shooed away with a broom, the bear attack, and the waving tourist. Very fun style.

  22. What IS culture. No really-what IS it?

    Ignorance is such a vice.

  23. Duh, of course they are stereotypes. That is the whole point so quit the bitching and get over your political correctness and stop taking yourself so seriously. These are awesome. Kudos to the artist!
